Video Tutorial: how to use any custom made font on your website using facelift video tutorial

The problem in using different fonts on web pages is that they will not be displayed on the visitors browser unless they are installed on his operating system.

In such case your intended design could look very different and not impressive.

In this lesson I will show you a solution by FaceLift application that will enable you to display any font on your visitors computer even if it is not installed on his operating system.

The trick is replacing the letters with images, but it is important to say that this technique is friendly for search engine robots and although the text will be replaced with images, those images will be visible only to the visitors and the search robots will still recognize the images as a text.

Here is the code I have used in this lesson:

<title> </title>
<script language=”javascript” src=”/font/flir.js”></script>

<h1> Hello all ! </h1>

<script type=”text/javascript”>
FLIR.init( { path: ‘/font/’ } );;

// All h1 elements will be replaced with the tribal font.
FLIR.replace( ‘h1′ , new FLIRStyle({ cFont:’alex’ }) );
